RACE ONE

FLIPPA PENNY (2)
ended her 3YO season when taking the silver behind COULDNTBETOLD on the last day of the season. She was too far back from gate 6 at her next start and after scraping into a Gold Pot final was given a break without taking on the final. Forget her last start when making an error, she looks to get her chance here.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (10) landed a career 1st win back in Aug and since then has faced tough gates owing to his starting manners since. Last start at AP he settled with running line cover when finding the line nicely to grab the bronze. Despite the 2nd line gate, he can finish strongly to place here.

SPARK OF GLORY (3) has faced the starter on just 4 occasions and has faced tough gates in 3 of those starts. 2 starts back she was beaten 2m behind LEORYAN after starting from gate 9 and with an improved gate here can fill a podium position.

THE RESTAURANTEUR (6) has the wide gate to negotiate here but should find this race an easier target compared to what he has been racing. 3 starts back he looked to take them all the way when setting a strong tempo and going under a neck. After some tough runs at AP, getting back to the triangle will help.

SELECTIONS: FLIPPA PENNY (2), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (10), SPARK OF GLORY (3), THE RESTAURANTEUR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FLIPPA PENNY (2) to win

RACE TWO

WEASEL (9) worked hard in the run last start from outside the front line when sent forward and racing in the breeze. After doing the hard work he fought on well to be 7m from the winner. He has been running well without getting a return and in this line-up he gets his chance to breakthrough.

LYNCHMAN (6) took the silver here 3 starts back after settling with running line cover from gate 5 and finishing 10m from the tidy winner REGAL NIGHTSHADE. Winless since January, he faces a tricky gate, but he will struggle to find an easier race than what he faces here.

QUEENS ACCENT (4) worked home in good order to finish within 2m of the winner BALLATOR THOR over her less preferred 2040m trip. Not suited at her next 2 when forced to go back from gate 5 to find position, in a wide open contest she can fill a podium position.

ITS ALL TORQUE (8) should be close to a fitness peak now that he has started 4 times since resuming from a break. He hasn’t had any luck with barriers since resuming and been well back in the pack at his past 2. HE can trail through early and be around the money.

SELECTIONS: WEASEL (9), LYNCHMAN (6), QUEENS ACCENT (4), ITS ALL TORQUE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WEASEL (9) to win

RACE THREE

MACHBINO (3) raced in the pocket trail after starting from gate 1 here 3 starts back and was able to hold on for the bronze. Last start at AP he settled with running line cover when only beaten 3m behind CALL ME YOURS. He lands a nice gate here and looks to get every chance.

TRAIN WRECK (8) settled in the running line from a 2nd line gate last week when sent to the post as fav. That followed a Gold Pot final where he was well held behind the impressive STATEMENT MADE. He should be able to settle close to the speed and will be right in the fight in this.

DALACOS EMPRESS (1) took the silver at Tamworth 3 starts back when finding her way in behind the leader off gate 4. She hasn’t been suited in either of her next 2 starts when landing wide gates. Back to the ace gate here she gets the options and can find the podium with the cosy run.

ONE LAST ROLL (10) will be tightened from his past 2 starts where he took on a Rising Stars series at his 1st runs back from a spell. Finishing 2nd to Bodhi Tree in the heats, he was then forced to do his share of early work in the final before fading off. This is much easier and despite the gate he can go very close in this.

SELECTIONS: MACHBINO (3), TRAIN WRECK (8), DALACOS EMPRESS (1), ONE LAST ROLL (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  MACHBINO (3) to win

RACE FOUR

DOOLITTLE DOOFY (1) finished 6m from the winner last start after being buried away in the run. That followed a passing lane 4th where he was looking to close out late. From the ace gate he gets the options and if able to sneak a stanza or 2, he will take some catching.

ROYAL LUCK (7) will be sweating on the 1 holding the front and if that scenario eventuates will be coiled and ready to strike in the stretch. He has been struggling to be effective from wide gates but with the pegline advantage, he can look to make the most of his chances.

ULTIMATE ATTACK (4) might appreciate this race after taking on some slightly tougher opponents recently. Last start from gate 3 he found running line cover and when finishing 13m in arrears of the winner HOT ROD HEAVEN. He strikes an open race and can put himself into calculations.

LATIN BEATS (3) has started 3 times in Qld since arriving from Vic. 2 of his 3 starts since returning to the track have been at the 2040m trip when struggling to make any in-roads to the leaders margins. Her best run since arriving came 3 starts back and with even luck, she will be close up here.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DOOFY (1), ROYAL LUCK (7), ULTIMATE ATTACK (4), LATIN BEATS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DOOLITTLE DOOFY (1) to win

RACE FIVE

RUATO BAY (5) was a winner here 5 starts back when able to lead all the way over the 1780m trip and zip home a tidy closing 800m panel. He backed that up with a win over the 2040m via the passing lane and has raced in Sat night qualifiers at his past 3 starts without luck. Back to Redcliffe he can bounce back.

SWIFT APPROVAL (3) has been racing in claiming company and 2 starts back was able to secure the bronze when getting out late after racing on the pegs from an inside 2nd line gate. Sent forward last start from a wide gate, he worked wide out and with good early speed can look to take control early.

ZENMACH (4) found a suitable target here 4 starts back and after landing gate 1 took them all the way, with a strong closing 800m. Forced to work from a wide gate at his next start, his most recent 2 starts have been through a Rising Stars series when too far back to challenge. In this type of race he can feature.

PASSIONATE FELLA (6) has been freshened since he last started in a conditioned event at AP when using the passing lane to be 4m from the winner BACCHUS RAUCOUS. His previous 3 starts were in qualifiers and his last run here on the triangle 5 starts back returned a victory. Despite the gate he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: RUATO BAY (5), SWIFT APPROVAL (3), ZENMACH (4), PASSIONATE FELLA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RUATO BAY (5) to win

RACE SIX

MASTER MONTANA (1) took on some tougher events at AP including a mid-field finish to the handy SUBTLE DELIGHT. Returning here to Redcliffe 2 starts back he worked forward from a 2nd line gate and was able to get clear in time to score by a half-head. With good early speed he can look to dictate to them.

BLUE EYED CREATION (3) has been around the money at recent starts but just can’t land the winning blow. He followed 4 successive 2nd placed runs with a sub-par effort when a beaten favourite at AP when looking to lead throughout. He took the bronze 2 starts back and from this gate can feature.

ARBIT MAJOR (4) found his race here 4 starts back when leading all the way over the 1780m. Beaten 10m at each of his next 2 starts at AP, he returned to the triangle with a 4th last time out when working wide off the track in the latter stages. In this field he will be in the mix.

THERESACHANCE (6) had been racing well and was rewarded for the consistency when leading all the way off gate 1 over the sprint trip to record a comfortable 4m victory. He gets no favours with the wide gate here but is in good touch and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS:  MASTER MONTANA (1), BLUE EYED CREATION (3), ARBIT MAJOR (4), THERESACHANCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MASTER MONTANA (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

THE LUNCHBOX BULLY (1) will take benefit from his latest start which was a 1st up run following a break. Holding up early off gate 1 he released the pressure but didn’t have anything to offer when the passing lane presented to go down a beaten fav. With the ace gate once again he can look to atone for his return.

THE CARINGBAH KID (5) was a 6m 3rd to FERDINAND 5 starts back when sent forward and forced to work in the run. His next few were good and then last start was set alight from gate 7 at AP to work across and find the front. Fighting to the line he went under a head and he looks to have his chance in this line-up.

BOB GAGE (3) is a consistent performer that is never far from the action and will be right in the mix in this event. Last start from the 2nd line he was working home strongly and went within a half-head of victory. This is his best gate for some time and he can look to take full advantage.

BHAPPY (7) secured the pocket trail here 5 starts back and was able to follow the pegs home to take the bronze behind WICKED TIME. He followed that with another 3rd when working wide off the track. Not suite his past couple, he will get the perfect trip here and can look to close out when the gaps present.

SELECTIONS: THE LUNCHBOX BULLY (1), THE CARINGBAH KID (5), BOB GAGE (3), BHAPPY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-7

RACE EIGHT

PANTHEON (2) was luckless here last start when working wide out after starting from gate 6 and with the tempo against him was  always going to struggle. 3 starts back he went within a half-head of landing a qualifier after leading everywhere bar the post. He looks to get into this race nicely and can take them all the way.

UNCLE JOHN (8) will be 2nd up for the Shane Graham barn following a 7th last start when buried away on the pegs and never getting a shot at them. His run 2 starts back at AP when only 7m from the winner was a handy effort and following through at the start here can settle in a prominent spot. He can be an improver.

GALLYMONT SPORT (4) has been freshened since his latest start when taking on the stand start conditions and banished to the trials. He has since returned a nice trial effort where they only sprinted home. This type of race suits and he won’t be too far away.

CALCAVADO (5) was racing consistently at the back end of last season and had placed in 3 of his last 4 starts before being turned out for a break. His last run he tried to lead throughout over the 2040m and after a strong closing 800m was grabbed near the line to go under by 2m. He will improve on whatever he can achieve here.

SELECTIONS: PANTHEON (2), UNCLE JOHN (8), GALLYMONT SPORT (4), CALCAVADO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PANTHEON (2) to win

RACE NINE

MAGNUSSEN (10) took the bronze in 3 successive runs, 2 of those in band qualifiers including a strong effort when only beaten a neck. Last start from gate 6 over the 2040m he was sent forward and worked to the front and once in control was never in danger to score a 10m win. Despite the tough gate, he looks hard to stop again.

GOOD FEELINGS (1) was a passing lane winner here 2 starts back, finishing best to take the win. Last start he couldn’t make any ground in a strong closing 800m from the front and returning to a good gate here can look to take them all the way.

SAMS A CHAMP (7) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when able to press to the front off gate 2 and once in control never looked in danger. His win 2 starts back was a tough effort when working in the run and with a cosy trip here if he can get to the lane with momentum he will look to finish them.

CROWNING GLORY (8) started fav and looked to have the race in his keeping over the mile at AP 2 starts back until he was grabbed up the passing lane on the post. He had no luck here last start when he couldn’t find position and with the right trip here a forward showing can be expected.

SELECTIONS: MAGNUSSEN (10), GOOD FEELINGS (1), SAMS A CHAMP (7), CROWNING GLORY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
