MISS INVASION (2) is getting close to a win and finds conditions to suit here to look to capitalise. Runner-up at her past 3 in succession her latest run was a nice effort when using the passing lane and hitting the line strongly to get within a neck of NORTHERN MUSCLE. This looks her chance.
DAENERYS STORMBORN (6) made the mess of the mobile start last time out and then made another error to end her chances. That followed successive wins with 1 from each of the stand and mobile. From the 40m she will need to work at some stage but can still throw down the challenge.
OUR DIVA (1) is a 7YO mare on debut for Bret Cargill by Great Success. With 2 trials to prepare for her first outing completed in good order, she can be around the money off the front tape.
SPIRIT WALKER (7) worked forward from a 30m tape last time and after racing tough in the breeze was able to get within a head of the winner NORTHERN MUSCLE. She will be right in the fight again.
SELECTIONS: MISS INVASION (2), DAENERYS STORMBORN (6), OUR DIVA (1), SPIRIT WALKER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS INVASION (2) to win
LETS DIG IT (4) started fav last time out from gate 6. Doing plenty of work wide out when pressing forward, he raced in the breeze and was fighting hard to the line when claiming the bronze behind GIZZMO. Still after a maiden breaking victory, this looks well within reach.
MAYWYN TOUGH (7) continued to work forward from gate 4 last start and was able to work to the front. Looking to fight them off in the stretch he was grabbed up the passing lane in the closing stages. That followed a tough 3rd from the breeze and if sighting space can chime in here.
KWASII (8) did nothing wrong at his debut last start when finding position off gate 5 and working home to get within 4m of the winner. Benefitting from that and with even luck in transit he won’t be far away.
BUTCHERFEELGOOD (2) will be 1st up from a break and be having just her 2nd career start. Best of the chasing pack behind a big winner on debut she has not been seen at the trials and should improve.
SELECTIONS: LETS DIG IT (4), MAYWYN TOUGH (7), KWASII (8), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS DIG IT (4) to win
ONE OFF (3) was returning from a 5 week break between races last start when sent to the post in red figures. Making an error entering the home stretch the first time he lost a stack of ground and did a good job in chasing and ended within 3m of the winner. He can atone in this.
SUBTLE ADVICE (4) started from gate 9 last start and after finding running line cover finished best to charge home to a 3m victory. Buried away in the run at his previous 2 starts from inside 2nd line gates, he can look to throw down a challenge here.
TAKITIMU EXPRESS (2) found the pegs before releasing last start and then ended up being buried 3 back. That was a much stronger contest and from this gate is going to be right in the mix.
WECANONLYHOPE (1) was an Armidale winner 3 starts back when finishing over the top for a nice win. Not suited last start when snagged back to last, she can be around the money here.
SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (3), SUBTLE ADVICE (4), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (2), WECANONLYHOPE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (3) to win
FORTES IN FIDES (3) has been super consistent of late without landing a win. Last start from gate 4 he went to the pegs and when angled into space was trying to thread a passage when hitting the line hard to be 5m from the winner. A good beginner he can look to fire the first shot and can dictate.
ARK PATROL (10) is resuming from a spell and had been meeting some handy performers prior to going for a break. He found the line nicely 3 starts back when 2nd to LILAC FLASH who has since gone on to bigger things. A winner of 2 from 3 here at Redcliffe, if forward enough he is a huge threat.
GOALKICKER (8) was a nice winner here at the non-TAB restricted meet when finishing too strongly from the 2nd line. Tough from the breeze last start she will be right in the fight here.
GIZZMO (1) returned to start his 3YO term in the best way possible when shooting the passing lane to arrive for victory. Fitter from that run after not trialling prior to the return he will get a great trip.
SELECTIONS: FORTES IN FIDES (3), ARK PATROL (10), GOALKICKER (8), GIZZMO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-8-10
MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2) slid in behind the leader and winner last start and chased all the way to hold down 2nd. His run 2 starts back at Marburg was a tidy effort which had followed a luckless run. From the gate he can have an early shot or take cover and this looks to be a winnable race.
LETHAL PROMISE (4) was back to place form last start after going 2 runs without a minor placing. Putting together a superb streak of top-3 runs prior to that he can look to roll forward here and getting into the action can put down a big challenge.
MODERN THOUGHT (1) found the line in good order here 2 starts back from the 2nd line and last start wasn’t really suited the way the race panned out. From this gate she has podium claims.
FAMOUS SHOES (8) pressed ahead to find the breeze last start and working hard held down the bronze. That followed a tough run for 2nd over the 1780m and with even luck he can feature.
SELECTIONS: MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2), LETHAL PROMISE (4), MODERN THOUGHT (1), FAMOUS SHOES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2) to win
MISTER JOGALONG (3) was hitting the line in good style over the 1780m 3 starts back and went within 2m of victory. Forced to do plenty of work at his next start, the effort took its toll and last start was unsuited off the 2nd line. With his best gate since arriving in Qld he can look to capitalise.
THE GOLDEN CROSS (5) was snagged back from gate 6 last start in a 2nd division qualifier and was looking for gaps that never opened and didn’t get a decent crack at them. Chasing hard from the pocket trail behind KEY LARGO 2 starts back, he can look to cash-in here.
CROWNING GLORY (1) looked to take them all the way here 2 start back but faded out and then last start over the 2280m couldn’t run on late. Back to the sprint trip with the options is a big plus.
CIRCLE LINE (7) will need a slice of luck in the run but with the cosy trip will be ready to look for the gaps. Gunned down in the closing stages last start he will be around the money here.
SELECTIONS: MISTER JOGALONG (3), THE GOLDEN CROSS (5), CROWNING GLORY (1), CIRCLE LINE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER JOGALONG (3) to win
RORY MACH (3) was 1st to the pegs before releasing last start and chased gamely to finish best of the chasing pack behind EXCPETIONAL MACH. 2 starts back he stuck to the inside and kept finding along the passing lane to arrive for the win. Never far from the action he can look to cash-in.
OUR MELS DREAM (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon away from the pegs to find the running line and chased hard when 8m from EXCEPTIONAL MACH. That followed successive placed efforts and from another tough gate will run his usual honest race.
COMPLY OR DIE (7) will need his share of luck from this gate but if able to spot a gap in time can challenge. He fought hard from the breeze last start to grab the bronze and will be probing for gaps.
THREO (1) features in a stable switch and will line up for Dave Russell. Banished to the trials last start he has earned the ticket back and with good early speed can look to find a forward position.
SELECTIONS: RORY MACH (3), OUR MELS DREAM (9), COMPLY OR DIE (7), THREO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RORY MACH (3) to win
BEEF CITY BLAZE (7) took on a band qualifier last start and starting from inside the 2nd line was buried in the run and a long way back in the pack. That had followed 3 successive wins here at Redcliffe and following a strong beginner just needs factors to work in his favour to sprint to victory.
COREY WILLIAM (8) has been given a freshen following his latest start when taking them all the way to score over the 1780m trip here when running a slick closing 800m. Finding his form, that made it successive wins after claiming a 2138m win at AP from the front. Despite the gate he can challenge.
WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (1) is a good beginner and from this alley can look to dictate. After scoring a hat-trick of wins her next 2 were in mares qualifiers and back to the good gate gives trainer Peter Greig a live chance of training the trifecta.
JAX NAVARO (6) was after a hat-trick of wins last start when starting from inside the 2nd line. Probing for a run he came to the outside and went within a neck of victory. The gate hurts but is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY BLAZE (7), COREY WILLIAM (8), WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (1), JAX NAVARO (6)
